A Rich Heritage That Continues to Inspire
Pompano Beach is one of the oldest founded cities in South Florida and the second oldest in Broward County.
1896
Henry Flagler extends the Florida East Coast Ralleray to Miani, bringing growth and opportunity.
1908
Pompano Beach is officially incorporated as a city.
1900s-1950s
Farming, fishing and beach tourism shape our close-knit community.
